An opportunity exists for a Perioperative Services Manager to take on 9 month leave cover contract within our busy perioperative department. Your clinical skills, excellent leadership capabilities and positive approach to work will ensure your success in the role.
As a Perioperative Services Manager your responsibilities will include:

Departmental Recruitment and selection functions in order to create an extraordinary team, & Coordination and allocation of staff

Strategic Planning, Theatre allocation.

Management and communication of business needs to a wide range of stakeholders including employees, hospital executives and Doctors.

Facilitating quality patient outcomes and exceptional customer service.

Understanding of legislative requirements, ACORN and Sterilisation standards

Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality/Risk management

Ensure workplace health and safety guidelines and policies are met

Manage Budgets and attainment of budgetary targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Prince of Wales Private Hospital is a 168 bed accredited hospital located in Randwick NSW, co-located on the Prince of Wales Hospital campus. The major case-mix groups are Cardiothoracic surgery, Neurosurgery, Spinal surgery, Endovascular surgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, General surgery, General medicine, Liver surgery, Orthopaedics, Maternity and Paediatrics, the hospital also has dedicated Day Surgery, a Coronary Care Unit , New Robotic Theatre and an Intensive Care Unit.
Essential Criteria:

Current Registration with AHPRA

Solid understanding of business operations

Post Graduate Qualifications in Nursing, Business and/or Management (or working towards)

Minimum of 5 years senior nursing experience within the Perioperative unit

High degree of computer literacy including MS Office

Exceptional interpersonal, stakeholder management and communication skills
